Just over half a year ago, the Chinese company One plus , launched its Nord 2 5G phone, which is a direct sequel to the first Nord phone, and now it has reassembled the basic specifications of Nord 2 into a new device called OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G where CE stands for Core Edition is a smaller version of Nord 2 5G in a new look.
And according to what was published by GSMarena, a website interested in technology news, the new phone from the Chinese company retains a 90Hz 6.43-inch AMOLED screen from Nord 2 and a 4500 mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging, but it comes with a Dimensity 900 5G chipset and swaps cameras.
The Nord CE 2 5G is a little thinner at 7.8mm, yet it is capable of adding a headphone jack and microSD card slot which are both missing in Nord 2. The back houses a redesigned camera frame with a 64MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide camera. Widescreen and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera here is 16 megapixels instead of 32 megapixels in the Nord 2.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM while the internal storage is set at 128GB although you can expand via a microSD slot. And the phone is running Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.3 on top.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G comes in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue colours. The price of the 128GB phone reaches $ 320, while open sales start in India on February 22, and sales in Europe start on March 10
