Drinking tea reduces the possibility of early death and lowers blood pressure A recent study indicated that drinking tea reduces the probability of early death from causes not related to heart or blood vessel disease by up to 25 percent compared to those who do not drink tea.

 

The study conducted by French scientists confirmed that drinking tea is better than drinking coffee because it contains flavonoids and antioxidants that have been proven to be beneficial for heart health.

 

Professor Nicholas Danchin, who led the research team, said that previous research showed different effects of tea and coffee on heart health, and he advised preferring tea over coffee when choosing between them.

 

The results of the study showed that the risk of heart disease and vascular disease is lower among tea drinkers compared to coffee drinkers, while also indicating that smoking increases the risk of early death.

 

In addition, the study showed that those who do not drink tea or coffee are considered more physically active.

 

The study included 131,401 people between the ages of eighteen and ninety-five during the period from January 2001 to December 2008.

 

It is noteworthy that a similar study showed that drinking three cups of tea daily reduces blood pressure by an average of two to three degrees. It also improves blood vessel function and reduces body weight and duck fat, and this is clearly seen in those who quit smoking.
