A team of British scientists has reached an immediate treatment to relieve the pain of paralysis and arthritis by using laser beams.
The new technique used relies on a powerful laser beam that stimulates targeted pressure points in acupuncture, but using low-energy lasers instead of needles.
The volunteers who underwent such treatment witnessed a significant decrease in the rate of pain, and there was a tangible improvement in their quality of life, especially among patients with arthritis.
The researchers explained that the laser beam works in the same way, and the mechanism of Chinese acupuncture works to release chemicals called “endorphins”, which are natural analgesics in the body that are secreted from the brain during times of pain and stress.
