How to lengthen and thicken eyelashes quickly and naturally

Many people want to have thick and long eyelashes  because they make the eyes look more beautiful and attractive. Factors such as genetics, age, certain medical conditions, nutritional deficiencies, eye infection or hormonal changes in the body contribute to thinning eyelashes, as well as rubbing the eyes and not removing eye makeup at the end. Today it can also cause sensitive eyelashes, leading to their falling out.

A proper routine care for eyelashes makes them healthier, and some simple home remedies can also be used to promote eyelash growth and increase their thickness. Keep in mind that each treatment will have different results in different individuals, the treatment may take a few weeks to several months to get the desired result, and you may have to try to use more than one treatment to get the desired result.

Here are the most important natural ways to lengthen and intensify eyelashes:

1. Castor oil:


Castor oil is a powerful treatment that can help in the growth of eyelashes and increase their density and thickness, and it also helps to fight microorganisms that hinder hair growth 
Use a clean brush or cotton swab to apply castor oil to your eyelashes before going to bed.
You can also add a few drops of vitamin E oil to castor oil before using it, and put it on the eyelashes overnight, then rinse the eyelashes with lukewarm water in the morning.
Alternatively, mix 2 tablespoons each of castor oil and aloe vera gel and apply it to your eyelashes using a cotton swab. Leave it on overnight, then rinse it off the next morning.
Follow either of these remedies daily for 2 to 3 months.

2. Olive oil:

Olive oil is a natural remedy known to help hair grow and make it thicker as well as eyelashes. This oil is rich in vitamin E and oleic acid, which nourishes eyelashes, and helps maintain eyelashes color.
Using a clean mascara wand or a piece of cotton that is placed in wwarmolive oil
Before going to bed, this oil is carefully applied to your eyelashes, just as mascara is applied
overnight, and then washed off with lukewarm water in the morning.
Repeat this treatment daily for a few months until you get the desired result.

3. Eyelashes brush:

Cleaning eyelashes also helps their growth, as it helps to get rid of dust and dirt to prevent clogging of pores, and moreover, it stimulates blood circulation so that it increases the nutrients that reach the hair follicles.


Put a few drops of vitamin E oil or Vaseline on a soft-bristled brush.
Use the brush to put the oil directly on the eyelashes.
Continue brushing the eyelashes gently as we start at the roots of the eyelashes and slowly move up to the tip.
Brushing is for 5 minutes twice a day until you see the desired results.

4. Eyelid massage:

Massaging the eyelids promotes eyelash growth as it improves blood flow to the hair follicles, making nutrients reach the follicles, stimulating hair growth and preventing eyelashes from falling out.
Put a few drops of Vaseline or Shea butter on the eyelids.
Using your fingertips, massage along the eyelid in small circular motions.
Massage for 5 to 7 minutes twice daily for a few months.
Note: Before massaging the eyelids, make sure to wash your hands well.

5. Aloe vera gel:

Aloe vera gel is a wonderful home remedy that can help in getting long and thick eyelashes because it contains many vitamins and nutrients that promote eyelash growth, and moreover, it helps maintain eyelashes moisture.


Using a clean mascara wand, put some fresh aloe vera gel on your eyelashes before going to bed. Leave it on overnight, then rinse it off with warm water the next morning.
Alternatively, mix one tablespoon each of aloe vera gel and jojoba oil with one teaspoon of chamomile oil. Apply this mixture to your eyelashes twice a day using a clean mascara wand. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water.
Follow any of these remedies for several months to get the best results.

6. Lemon peels:

Lemon peels can be used to increase the density of eyelashes, as they are rich in vitamins C and B, folic acid and other nutrients that promote eyelash growth. It can also be added to olive or castor oil, which helps promote cleansing and benefit from the properties of oils.


Put a tablespoon of dried lemon peel in a bowl.
Pour enough olive oil or castor oil into the bowl and
leave for a few weeks.
Using a clean mascara wand, apply the oil to the eyelashes before going to bed.
Leave it overnight, then wash it off with warm water in the morning.
Follow this remedy for a few months to get the desired results.

7. Eggs:

Eggs are high in protein, which helps in making eyelashes thicker and longer. In addition, they contain biotin and vitamin B, which play a major role in improving the overall texture of the eyelashes.


Mix an egg with a spoonful of glycerin until the texture is thick and creamy.
Put a piece of cotton in this mixture and put it on the eyelashes.
Leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse using cold water.
Follow this remedy 3 times a week for a few months.

8. Green tea:

Green tea is an effective home remedy for increasing the length and thickness of eyelashes. It is rich in flavonoids that stimulate eyelash growth.


Prepare a cup of unsweetened green tea, and leave it to cool.
Use a piece of cotton to put green tea on the eyelashes, from the roots to the tips.
Leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water
Do this twice daily for 2 to 3 months.
Note: When using green tea, you must make sure that it does not come into contact with the eyes.

9. Coconut Milk:

Coconut milk is rich in protein and essential fats that can increase the thickness of the eyelashes, as it increases the luster of the eyelashes.


Put a piece of cotton in cold coconut milk and put it on the eyelashes.
Leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
Follow this remedy once or twice daily for a few months to get the desired result.

Additional Tips:
• Avoid going to sleep with  eye makeup on because it can dry out your eyelashes, making them brittle, and you should remove eye makeup using a makeup remover to give your eyelashes a chance to breathe and grow.
• Avoid pulling eyelashes when removing or applying makeup.
• Ensure that eye makeup products such as mascara and eyeliner are of the best quality.
• Avoid using fake eyelashes because when used regularly, they can damage natural eyelashes
