Pineapple and honey mask for the skin

When using a pineapple mask only without adding any other ingredients to it on very sensitive skin, it can be very harsh and cause skin irritation. But there is no need to worry if you suffer from this type of skin, you can still rely on this amazing pineapple face mask by mixing it with some soothing ingredients (such as honey) to make it suitable for your skin. Pineapple and honey can be used to exfoliate and soothe the skin. Here are some benefits of pineapple and honey for the skin:

Benefits of pineapple in a pineapple mask:

Pineapple is rich in bromelain, an active fruit enzyme that was once used in America to treat inflammation and swelling. American Indian women used to use pineapple to cleanse and clean the skin as well. Bromelain helps in exfoliation by removing dead cells on the surface of the skin and removing them from the depths of the skin pores.

Benefits of honey in the mask :

Honey has a soothing and softening effect on the skin at the same time, as honey has antimicrobial properties that fight germs and bacteria that cause acne. Also, honey is a natural moisturizer that nourishes the skin cells and gives them the necessary moisture and prevents the skin from becoming dehydrated. In this face mask, honey will also help counteract the aggressive exfoliating properties of pineapple.

Ingredients for the pineapple mask:

1 tablespoon of mashed pineapple.

1 teaspoon of organic honey.

How to make a pineapple mask:

First wash the pineapple well and then carefully cut it into 4 small or medium-sized pieces.

Put the pineapple in a blender or food processor and mash the pineapple well to get a thick paste. Do not add water to the pineapple while mixing as this will dilute the effect of the mask.

Pour 1 tablespoon of mashed pineapple into a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of honey to it. And mix the mixture well until it blends.

Put on your facial brush (or even use your fingers) and start applying the mask to your face. Make sure your face is clean and dry before applying the mask. You can also use steam on your face for 5-10 minutes before applying the mask. This will open the pores and allow the beneficial nutrients to reach deeper into the pores.

How to use a pineapple with honey mask for the skin

Although this seems optional, steaming the face before applying the mask helps open the pores so that the face absorbs the nutrients from the pineapple and honey. You can also spray the face with warm water, which will open the pores as well.

Put the mask all over your face and be sure to avoid the areas around the eyes and around the mouth because the skin there is weak and sensitive. Do not put the mask on your eyes.

After applying the mask, leave it for 5 minutes for the mask to apply to the skin.

Rinse your face with lukewarm or cold water when you feel some stinging on your face. Then pat your skin dry with a thin towel, then apply the moisturizer you are using.

Some tips for using a pineapple mask

1- Rinse off the pineapple and honey mask with cold water as soon as you feel the stinging on your face. Then dry your face with a thin towel and apply moisturizer to it.
2- Use organic honey to get the best results, as regular honey may contain some additives that may not suit your skin.
3- Apply coconut oil to moisturize and soothe your skin after peeling.
4- Use this mask once or twice a month, depending on your skin’s response to it.
5- You should also know that some skin types are not accustomed to natural fruit acids and can be irritated when some face masks are applied to them. And if your skin does not tolerate pineapple, you can increase the amount of honey. And always remember to do an allergy test by placing a small amount of the mask on a small spot on your skin to see if you will be allergic to the ingredients or not.
