This week, we review Trader Joe’s Synergistically Seasoned Popcorn. I grabbed the bag as soon as I saw it – the graphics are so fun and cheerful. And y’all, I’m the daughter of a popcorn aficionado…and purest. My dad is not a fan of flavored popcorns (I am, though!), but he sure taught me the proper way to pop it on the stove.
To clarify: We have no affiliation with Trader Joe’s. I feel sure they have never read this blog and have no idea who we are. Hey, we like being incognito! These Trader Joe’s reviews are just for us – and for YOU, our fellow Trader Joe’s lovers!
A 5.5-ounce bag costs $1.99. The popcorn is described as having tangy, salty, smoky, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors.
Let’s review Trader Joe’s Synergistically Seasoned Popcorn.
She says: Well, to be fair, this popcorn is everything the bag says it is: tangy, smoky, spicy, sweet, and salty. It’s also just TOO much. I could have done without a few of the flavors. The popcorn itself is big and fluffy – I’m guessing the Mushroom Popcorn variety. I’m a fan of this variety, but this batch was soft rather than crispy or crunchy. I can see how some people might like this (the TJ’s cashier was a fan), but it’s a miss for me.

He (Mr. E.) says: I like popcorn. I like seasoning. But this combination fails to launch as far as any “synergy” for me. I could pick up on many of the flavors they intended, but the overall amount seemed too much. A cookie chaser was in order to negate the aftertaste.
