Make a skin serum with vitamin C

Vitamin C is a proven antioxidant that boosts collagen production, protects the skin from UV damage, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and scars. And today we found for you a powerful and inexpensive vitamin C serum recipe that you can make at home

Vitamin C serum for skin

Recipe
Get an empty lip balm pack or a small colored bottle
One teaspoon of ascorbic acid or camu camu powder you can buy at any health food store
One tablespoon of distilled water One
tablespoon of vegetable glycerin Buy it from the health food store as well
Mix ascorbic acid with water in a bowl and mix them with a spoon until the crystals are completely dissolved, stir
them in the distilled water and glycerin, then pour the mixture into the empty bottle

Now you have a vitamin C serum. Keep it in a cool dry place. Apply a thin layer to the face at night. If you get good results and noticeable improvement, you can use it twice a day.

Tips for making the serum

  • If it turns yellow, it means it’s oxidized and the vitamin C has lost its benefits. Throw it out and make a new one.
  • Avoid buying colored vitamin C powder and choose transparent, because if the color is exposed to oxidation, you will not be able to distinguish it.
  • Make a week’s supply of the serum, do not make large quantities because the product will oxidize and become useless.

When trying anything new on the skin, it should be tested first by placing a very small amount on the skin before applying it to the face. If you feel any strange reaction or feeling of discomfort, remove it immediately and wash the skin well and do not use it on your skin again
