Cherry juice helps sleep

A new study shows that consuming cherry juice daily may help prevent insomnia and reduce the time an individual stays awake in bed.

Scientists conducted tests on 15 individuals in which the participants were asked to drink cherry juice in the morning and evening every day for two weeks, and then they were asked to stop consuming the juice for two weeks as well.
The results showed a decrease in the severity of insomnia and a speed in falling asleep by about 17 minutes for individuals who consumed cherry juice.

Scientists believe that the large amounts of antioxidant melatonin compounds found in cherries may be the reason behind the decrease in the severity of insomnia.

And ease of falling asleep and regulating the sleep-wake cycle in humans
