Useful tips for morning face washing etiquette

Women wash their faces daily routinely, without paying attention to some points that make them do this process (despite its ease and simplicity) in a wrong way. Which can cause exacerbation of skin problems, or create new problems. In order to avoid these negatives, it is advised to pay attention to the following things, although the advice is valid for both sexes:

1. Water temperature:

The temperature of the water you use to wash your face is very important, as the water should be warm, not cold or hot, because cold water cannot remove all the dirt and dead skin residue that clogs the pores. While hot water will remove all the oils produced by the skin, which moisturize it and maintain its softness, so that the skin becomes dry and cracks.

2. Hand washing:

Because you definitely don’t want the dirt and germs on your hands to transfer to your face.

3. Washing the face:

Wet your face with water, either with your hands, or by dampening a towel with water and wiping your face with it. Wetting the skin with water will help you distribute a small amount of the cleanser over your entire face easily.

4. Put a small amount of cleanser on your face:

This can be done with the tips of the fingers, and distribute it all over your face in a circular motion, while continuing to do circular movements for a period ranging from 30 seconds to a minute, and avoiding the use of regular soap, or body soap on the face, because the facial skin is more sensitive than the rest of the body parts. If you use cosmetics, you must remove them with a makeup remover, and it can be purchased at pharmacies or naturally with coconut oil.

5. Choosing the right cleanser for your skin type:

If you don’t use the right cleanser for your skin, you will only add to your problems, or you can create new ones:

In case of dry skin: You should avoid harsh cleansers, especially as they are designed to remove oils, and replace them with cleansers that are a mixture of cleanser and moisturizer. Foaming cleansers should also be avoided, as they contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which causes skin irritation. But if you want to clean your skin with natural ingredients, you can apply oils such as: almond, olive, jojoba, coconut…etc. Use a towel to rub your face in a circular motion, then rinse your face with warm water.

In the case of oily skin: a strong cleanser can be used to get rid of blackheads, which are common among women with oily skin, but it is not preferable to be very strong, as it removes all the oil produced by the skin, causing dryness and irritation.

In the case of combination skin: you should apply the appropriate cleanser to each area of your face.

If you suffer from acne, you should choose a cleanser for acne, because a regular cleanser can contain chemicals or alcohol, which causes skin irritation and makes your condition worse.

6. Washing the cleanser from the face with warm water, making sure to get rid of the effects of the cleanser.

7. Dry the face with a clean towel:

By patting the face, not rubbing it with the towel, because this will cause skin irritation and stimulate the appearance of wrinkles.

8. Use a suitable moisturizer:

It is necessary to use a moisturizer daily, because it helps to maintain the youth of the skin, and gives it radiance and freshness. When washing the face at night, it is preferable to put a night cream that contains nutrients for the skin; Because the process of skin renewal takes place at night. While washing the face in the morning, it is preferable to apply a moisturizer that contains SPF30 and SPF 30.
