The best natural hand-made mouthwash

Mouthwash is an integral part of oral hygiene. However, store-bought mouthwashes may not work for everyone; Because they often have a strong taste and aroma.

Studies also show that adding mouthwash can treat tooth decay  and gingivitis more effectively than brushing alone.

1. Baking soda

You will need
½ teaspoon of baking soda or baking soda
½ cup of warm water
What you need to do

Add ½ teaspoon of table salt to ½ cup of warm water.
Mix well and rinse your mouth after or before brushing your teeth.

 

You can do this 3-4 times daily.

Baking soda is a great remedy for bad breath and mouth bacteria. Its alkaline nature can increase salivary pH. This can help neutralize the acids produced by oral bacteria when carbonated beverages and caffeine are consumed.

2. Coconut oil

you will need

 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil

What you have to do

Swish a tablespoon of extra-virgin coconut oil in your mouth for 10-15 minutes. This can be done once a day before brushing your teeth.

 

3. Salt

you will need

½ teaspoon table salt
½ cup warm water

What you have to do

Add half a teaspoon of table salt to half a cup of warm water, mix well and rinse your mouth using the mixture, and you can do this 2-3 times a day after a meal.

Rinsing your mouth with salt water is almost as effective as any other mouthwash that contains compounds such as chlorhexidine. It can help reduce dental plaque as well as bacteria in the mouth. 

4. Aloe vera juice

 You will need
½ cup of aloe vera juice,
½ cup of distilled water
, ½ teaspoon of baking soda

What you have to do

Mix half a cup of aloe vera juice with half a cup of distilled water and rinse your mouth with this mixture after brushing your teeth. You can do this 3-4 times a day.

Aloe vera can also help reduce bleeding gums.

 

5. Peppermint oil

 you will need

2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil 1
cup distilled water

What you have to do

 

Add two to three drops of peppermint oil to a cup of distilled water.
Mix well and use this solution to rinse your mouth.
You can do this 2-3 times daily, preferably after each meal. Mouthwash with peppermint oil is especially effective in combating bad breath
