Materials

 

2 cups of rice

 

3 cups water (chicken stock or broth optional)

 

2 tablespoons butter or oil

 

Half a tea glass of finely chopped onion

 

Half a teaspoon of salt

 

Specification

 

1. Wash the rice in a strainer and drain the water.

 

2. Add the butter or oil to a pan and melt.

 

3. Add the chopped onion and fry until it turns pink.

 

4. Add the washed rice to the pot and fry for 2-3 minutes.

 

5. Add salt and mix.

 

6. Add water or chicken stock to the pot.

 

7. Stir the mixture once and after it boils, reduce the heat to low and close the pot lid.

 

8. Cook the rice on low heat for about 15-20 minutes. The lid should not be opened.

 

9. At the end of the cooking time, turn off the stove and let the rice steep.

 

10. Serve the brewed rice without stirring.
