According to the news of the UK-based MyLondon site, based on the results of the research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), scientists concluded that exercises done in the morning are more effective in losing weight.

 

As part of the study, scientists examined the body fat percentages of mice after intense exercise during the period known as the “early active period”, which corresponds to morning exercise in humans, and during rest periods.

 

It was noted in the study that the examination in question was handled independently of nutrition.

 

According to the results of the study, exercise performed in the active phase accelerated the metabolism of the mice more.

 

Prof. Dr. Juleen Zierath from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, made a statement regarding the research, saying, “Our results show that morning exercise may be more effective than evening exercise in terms of accelerating metabolism and burning fat.
