Ingredients
– Figs: 1 kg (fresh, not too watery)
Preparation Method
Using the Sun: Gently wash the figs in cold water.
Dry them thoroughly using a clean towel or let them air dry.
Place the figs on a tray or net in a sunny, well-ventilated area.
Turn the figs over every day to ensure they dry evenly on all sides.
This process takes about 3-4 days, or until the figs are sticky and pliable.
Using the Oven: Preheat the oven to the lowest possible temperature (between 50-60°C).
Place the figs on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Leave the oven slightly open to allow moisture to escape.
This process takes about 8-12 hours, turning the figs every two hours.
Place the dried figs in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
