That’s why using sunscreen is so important. Doctors recommend using sunscreen not only in summer but also in winter. So, is it possible to make natural sunscreen?
This recipe is not waterproof and needs to be reapplied frequently.
5 beauty products you can make at home
1/4 cup coconut oil2 tablespoons of powdered zinc oxide (you can add more if desired)1/4 cup pure aloe vera gel25 drops of walnut essential oil1 cup or less of shea butterOptional vitamin E capsule
Put all the ingredients except the zinc oxide and aloe vera gel in a saucepan and melt them over the fire. Let it cool for a few minutes before adding the aloe vera gel as well. Then add the aloe vera gel.
Cool the mixture completely before adding the zinc oxide. Mix well to make sure the zinc oxide is dispersed all over. You can add some beeswax for a more sticky consistency. Store your cream in a glass jar. Store in a cool, dry place until ready to use.
Also, aloe vera is a good active ingredient for homemade sunscreen. It has been proven to both treat and prevent burns on your skin.
Note: ‘SPF’ on sunscreens is the first letter of the words ‘Sun Protection Factor’. The numbers next to the letters indicate the degree to protect you from the sun’s rays. 20 – 30 SPF protect less from the sun, while sunscreens over 50 SPF protect from the sun for longer. Recommended sunscreen recommendations for children and babies are SPF 50+.
