Harmful effects of dehydration

Dehydration affects the body’s normal functioning of its physiological functions, when it loses fluids in excess of the quantities consumed. It appears in several forms, most notably:

– Dry mouth.

– Drowsiness and fatigue.

– skin dryness.

– headache.

– holding.

– Dizziness and decreased urinary output.

In chronic cases, it appears through extreme thirst, dry skin and mouth, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure, lack of tears when crying, high temperature, and rapid breathing.

Its causes:

– Chronic diarrhea or vomiting.

– High body temperature.

– Excessive sweating.

– Excessive urination.

– Chronic diseases such as kidney disease, alcoholism and pituitary gland disorders.

– Residence in high altitudes.

– Doing strenuous exercise in hot, humid climates.

Who is most susceptible to it?

– babies.

– the elderly.

Therefore, the body must compensate for the lost fluids to treat dehydration, through the use of solutions that enhance the fluid level in the body orally or by injection in chronic cases.
