French onion soup
Ingredients:
Butter: half a cup
Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
Onions: 8 pieces (sliced)
Broth: 4 cups (or water)
Dried herbs: 1 teaspoon
Salt: half a teaspoon
Black pepper: a quarter of a teaspoon
French bread: 4 slices
Provolone cheese: 4 slices
Swiss cheese: 2 slices
Parmesan cheese: 1/4 cup (grated)
How to prepare
Heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat in a deep saucepan.
Add the onions and saute until it becomes soft and translucent, making sure that it does not turn brown.
Add the broth, dried herbs, season with salt and black pepper, and leave for 30 minutes on the fire until it boils.
Heat the oven grill to make bread and soup.
