Today, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that South Korea recorded 1,097 new cases of Coronavirus, in a new record for daily infections.
The centers indicated that the total number of injuries in the country reached 49,665, while the number of deaths reached 674 in total.
The daily number crossed the 1,000 case for the fifth consecutive day, at a time when some health experts assert that the government needs to tighten the rules of social distancing.
The last daily record number witnessed by the country was recorded last Wednesday, when infection cases reached 1076.
