Fiber is very beneficial for the body:

 

1- Treats constipation.

 

2- It reduces the absorption of cholesterol.

 

3- It fills the stomach and has very low calories, so it helps in losing weight. It also protects and prevents cancer of the large intestine (colon).

 

4- It is also beneficial for diabetics.

 

Fiber is available in the following materials: artichokes, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, spinach, cauliflower, peaches, apricots, figs, apples and lettuce.

 

Among the grains rich in fiber: lupine, fenugreek, lentils, cowpeas, unpeeled wheat, fava beans, chickpeas, dried beans, corn, and chickpeas.
