How to make a delicious combination of tomatoes and walnuts with dried tomatoes and walnuts?
FOR THE DOUGH:
120 grams of butter
1 egg white
2 tablespoons of yogurt
1 teaspoon of vinegar
1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
2-2.5 cups flour
1 packet of baking powder
FOR INNER MATERIAL:
7-8 dried tomatoes
8-10 walnuts
2 sprigs of thyme, salt, black pepper
FOR THE ABOVE:
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon of molasses
Nigella and sunflower seeds
FABRICATION
For the dough, whisk the egg whites and butter with a wire whisk. Add yoghurt, vinegar, salt and granulated sugar and continue to whisk until it reaches a homogeneous consistency. After mixing the flour and baking powder in a separate place, add it little by little to the yogurt mixture to get a soft dough. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. For the filling, mix finely chopped dried tomatoes, walnuts, salt, black pepper and fresh thyme. Cut walnut-sized pieces from the rested dough. Open a bit of it in your palm. Add a dessert spoon of the mortar you have prepared and close it. Roll it up in your palm and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Prepare the remaining pieces of dough in the same way. Mix the egg yolk and molasses and rub on them. Sprinkle with black cumin or sunflower seeds. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until they are browned. Serve hot.
