Choose a protective cream that suits your skin

In summer, women reach for sunscreen to protect their skin and face from the sun’s harmful rays. However, not all types of protective creams are suitable for all skin types; each skin type requires a specific type and different composition of prevention cream. Learn how to choose the right cream for your skin:

1- For sensitive skin:

if your skin is sensitive, look for a sunscreen with a hypoallergenic formula and natural rather than synthetic substances that is fragrance-free. And look for a sunscreen that contains the minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in its formula, as these will protect your skin from the dangers of the sun and ultraviolet rays and not harm it. “In general, zinc is easy under makeup and titanium protects the skin in the summer,” says dermatologist Zoe Draelos.

2- For skin that suffers from acne:

Some sunscreens can be very heavy and consist of sticky substances that aggravate the problem of acne. Dr., a dermatologist at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, advises women who suffer from acne to look for a sunscreen that is free of oils and fragrances.

3- For dry skin:

if you have dry skin, choose a sunscreen that contains moisturizers and natural oils like glycerin and aloe vera. Avoid sunscreen sprays or gels that contain alcohol, as this will dry out your skin even more.

4- For oily skin:

if your skin is oily, avoid sunscreens that contain natural oils and minerals. On the other hand, look for a sunscreen that does not contain oily substances and oils, thus preserving the freshness and purity of your skin.

5- For athletes:

athletes, especially those who swim, need a waterproof sunscreen that ensures that your skin is continuously moisturized for 40 to 80 minutes, thanks mainly to its silicone formula, and is more sticky than others.
