Cherry Pie

 Ingredients :

400 grams of fresh cherries or frozen cherries

1 glass of flour

Half a teaspoon of baking powder

Half a teaspoon of salt

110 grams of room temperature butter

1 cup of powdered sugar

2 eggs

1 packet of vanilla

Crunchy Dough:

1.5 cups flour

half a glass of sugar

half a teaspoon of salt

90 g cold butter

FABRICATION

Crispy dough:

Cut the butter into tiny cubes and let it cool in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.

Put the flour, salt and sugar in the bowl of the food processor. Add the ice cubes of butter and briefly turn on the robot and repeat until the butter cubes are all floured and the size of a pea. Take care that the dough does not come together. Put it in a bowl and refrigerate until you use it. If you do not have a food processor, you can get the same dough by putting the ingredients in a large bowl with the help of two knives or, if your hands are cold, mixing the butter into the mixture. The important thing is that the pieces of butter do not melt.

Preparation of Pie Dough:

Remove the seeds from the cherries and set them aside. In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.

Whisk the room temperature butter and powdered sugar with a mixer for about 5 minutes until they are well mixed and lightened. add the eggs and continue whisking. Then add the vanilla. Reduce the speed of the mixer, add flour and mix for the last time until the flour particles disappear completely.

Pour this dough into the oiled mold and smooth the top. Arrange the cherries on it, sprinkle it on the crunchy dough you have prepared before (do not press it after sprinkling it) and bake in a 180 degree oven until it turns pink for about 40-45 minutes. (23 * 23 cm in 5 cm deep oven dish)
