A study conducted by Tufts University showed that “those who want to get rid of excess belly fat should eat brown bread and avoid white bread.”
According to the results, brown bread made from grains, including their husks, or bran, causes only a small amount of belly fat, much less than white bread, which is mostly starchy.
The study, which involved 2,800 people under the supervision of nutritionist Nicolas Micon, warned that “white bread is not harmful to health, but it increases belly fat, an important organ in the body.”

It noted that “the credit for reducing belly fat and belly fat from eating white bread is due to the fact that whole-grain brown bread contains elements that do not cause obesity, vitamins B12 and B14, and salts that eliminate and dissolve fat easily.”
The study supervisors noted that “if three meals of brown bread are eaten, in quantities not exceeding three slices per day, in addition to a meal of white bread, over an average period of two to three months, body weight decreases, with a clear disappearance of the amount of fat deposited in the skin of the abdomen and its organs.”
