Learn how to make French Normandy chicken

When the legendary American chef, Julia Child, ate French food, she described it in a wonderful way, saying: “It was my first French food, and I never outgrew it.” After that, Child devoted her life to teaching and educating the world the wonders of French cuisine.

One of the dishes that French cuisine is famous for is the “French Normandy chicken”, which bears the name of the largest landing operation in military history, launched by the Allies on the coasts of the Normandy region in northwestern France, to open a new front against Germany during World War II.

Coming back to this delicious meal with valuable benefits, here is a list of its ingredients if you want to taste different food and chicken with great flavors that you will surely repeat after tasting it:

 

Ingredients

8 slices of chicken thighs with skin.

ยท Salt and pepper to taste.

1 chopped leek

2 green apples, peeled and cut into slices.

1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar or apple juice.

1/2 cup of chicken broth.

6 veins of fresh mint.

200 ml of fresh cream.

2 teaspoons of mustard.

 

How to prepare:

You have to start by cooking the chicken with the spices and salt, and put it in a frying pan over a low heat until it turns brown.

Then cook the leeks in the same pan for five minutes, and then add the apples and apple cider vinegar or juice, as desired.

Pour the mixture of leeks, apples and vinegar over the chicken after placing it in a special tray, then put the tray in the oven for 40 minutes.

After that, transfer the chicken to a bowl and add cream with mustard, then put the mixture on the fire for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens, and then you will be able to serve this delicious meal while it is hot and decorated with chopped parsley.
