3 easy gelatin masks you can make at home

What is gelatin?

 

A transparent, colorless, odorless substance obtained from animal tissues such as bone and cartilage or from plant algae, generally used in medicine. It helps to rearrange the collagen in the skin as it contains animal collagen, which is very similar to human flesh. As is known, collagen prevents wrinkles by increasing the elasticity of the skin. Gelatin nourishes the skin and slows down the aging of the skin.

 

How to use gelatin?

 

Before making a mask with gelatin, you need to prepare the gelatin for making a mask. You can use 2 methods for this.

 

Method 1:

Dilute some gelatin by mixing it with milk or water. After the mixture has set, wait for half an hour for it to swell. When it thickens, dip it in a bowl of hot water to make it liquid. Mix the other ingredients you will use for the mask.

 

Method 2:

Take as much gelatin as you need, soak it in cold water for 10-15 seconds.

Tips for gelatin mask

 

All the ingredients you will use should be fresh. Apply the mask to clean skin. Use a brush when applying the mask. When removing the mask, use a cotton pad soaked in milk or herbal tea.

Honey and olive oil face mask

 

Prepare 1 tablespoon of gelatin using method 1. Mix well with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of honey.

 

Apply the first mask to your entire face (not covering your eyebrows and eye area). Leave it on until it dries and hardens. Remove the mask with cotton soaked in milk or herbal tea. Moisturize your skin with a cream suitable for your skin type.

Yogurt and flour face mask

 

Prepare 1 teaspoon of gelatin according to method 1. Mix it with 1 teaspoon of yogurt. (You can also use kefir) Add 1 teaspoon of flour. Apply to your face. Wait for 20 minutes.

 

Suitable for oily skin. (If you have dry skin, make this mask with oatmeal and milk powder.) This mask regulates skin sebum.

 

Banana and glycerin face mask:

 

Prepare 1 teaspoon of gelatin according to Method 1. Mix half a banana that you have mashed with a fork with half a teaspoon of glycerin. You can use a blender to make the mixture homogeneous. Apply to your face, wait 25 minutes and clean.

 

It soothes and moisturizes your skin. You can also make this mask with other fruits such as grapes and green apples.
