The dangers of Alzheimer’s begin before birth!

Medical research has warned that pregnant women who follow a diet rich in fatty substances expose their children to an increased risk of falling prey to Alzheimer’s disease, as it has been shown that the risk of contracting the disease begins at the stage of the fetus’s formation in the mother’s womb, according to what was reported in the British newspaper “The Telegraph”.

This means that the pregnant woman’s nutritional habits affect the health of the fetus before its birth and increase the chances of it developing Alzheimer’s disease in the advanced stages of its life. It was conducted on a group of experimental mice that were fed high-fat foods. It was observed that mice who were fed a high-fat diet, their brains became less able to get rid of the harmful amyloid protein layer accumulated on brain cells, which accumulates in sticky tangles on nerve cells in the brain, causing Alzheimer’s. It was also observed that blood flow to the brain cells decreased among mice in their advanced stages of life, which predisposes them to the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

The disease comes in several stages, where the patient begins to forget his appointments, does not notice the passage of time, and does not remember the events of the recent past. At the end of the stage, he tends to become isolated and withdrawn, then he becomes unable to do manual tasks and finds it difficult to understand words. This stage ends and the patient is in need of treatment. Someone helps him move, and he suffers from bouts of anger and frustration. The most important and difficult stage begins, where the patient is unable to do what a normal person does, and ends with him being unable to do anything without the help of others.
