HOMEMADE EYE CONTOUR: PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS

This eye contour recipe is made up of few ingredients, but they are nonetheless effective! I used essential oil, vegetable oils and aloe vera gel, which will have a beneficial effect on the eye area.

The essential oil of Italian helichrysum , also known as immortelle, is a natural anti hematoma. It is used in the event of blows and bruises, but also in the context of blood circulation disorders such as varicose veins and dark circles. Helicrysum is rather expensive but it is an essential oil for everything. It is for example healing in the event of a cut. 

Aroma point: it is prohibited during pregnancy, during breastfeeding and in children under 6 years old. It is not recommended in the event of anti-coagulant treatment.

Avocado oil  is a very nourishing vegetable oil, particularly suitable for the eye contour. The eye contour needs to be nourished, but it is such a fine area of ​​our face that we should not apply too rich or heavy treatments. Avocado oil is perfect for this since it nourishes in lightness and acts against fine lines and wrinkles. Thanks to its particular composition (vitamins A, D, E and omega 6), this oil will nourish the eye area and regenerate cells.

Calophyllum oil , also known as tamanu  oil, is the perfect oil for the eye area! Despite its rather strong smell which fades after application, this is the oil for you if you want to reduce your dark circles. It promotes blood circulation by thinning the blood and can be used in cases of varicose veins, rosacea and heavy legs.

Aroma point: it is not recommended in case of anti-coagulant treatment and can be used up to a maximum of 20% in the total of your homemade cosmetic recipes.

Aloe vera gel ,  in addition to being the ingredient to have in your home urgently, is an excellent ingredient for providing hydration. As much to the skin as to the hair! Used in an eye contour recipe, it promotes cell renewal and stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin.

HOMEMADE EYE CONTOUR ROLL-ON: HOW TO DO IT

In a small bowl pour:

• 1 ml of avocado vegetable oil
• 1 ml of  calophyllum vegetable oil
• 1 drop of Italian helicrysum essential oil
• 3 ml of  aloe vera gel
• 1 drop of preservative (cosgard type)

Mix everything using a mini whisk and pour the contents into an amber roll-on bottle (5ml) using a fine funnel. 

You can apply your moisturizing eye area morning and night, for a less puffy, darker and more hydrated eye area. Apply the product to the bone below the eye and pat gently. 

You do not need to put your eye contour at the level of the pocket since it will go up towards the eye by capillary action (magic!). For storage, you can put your eye contour in the refrigerator for a cool kiss effect, but otherwise you can  keep it for 3 months  stored away from air, heat and light.
