4 food rules for longevity

In an interview with Express, British nutritionist Dr. Mark Gilbert revealed the rules of nutrition that help improve health and prolong life.

He added, it is important to have a balance of the level of vitamin D in the body. Because the level of this vitamin in the body is inversely proportional to the risk of death, he explained, “Vitamin D is closely related to the immune system and helps T cells to respond to the immune system.”

The specialist notes that it is necessary, first of all, to reduce the amount of calories a person eats. Because low-calorie nutrients are able to slow down the aging process and protect against the development of cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.

The expert advises adding fruits to the diet, as they improve heart health, boost immunity and lower blood pressure. The fruits also help improve blood circulation and prevent cholesterol buildup.

To reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, the expert advises Gilbert to drink green tea on a regular basis.

He says, following these four rules, even during a short period of time, improves the general health of the person, and when followed over a long period, it increases the chances of prolonging life
