Let’s be honest, when the temperature drops, all we want is to stay warm at home, under the duvet or in the bath. So now is the perfect time to concoct homemade masks and scrubs to take care of our skin in depth.
The blend of nourishing agents, relaxing scents and products capable of removing dead skin helps fight winter dehydration and restore radiance to our body.
The spicy scrub
In a large bowl, mix two tablespoons of coffee grounds, four tablespoons of olive oil or liquid coconut oil, six tablespoons of sugar or coarse salt, about twenty drops of orange essential oil, a teaspoon of cinnamon and finely chopped orange peels.
Once your ingredients are well mixed, use two large handfuls of your scrub to exfoliate the skin on your body in the shower or in the bath. Apply the product by rubbing gently in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with hot water. The scrub can be stored in the fridge for a week.
The rose detox mask
Mix four tablespoons of cocoa powder, four tablespoons of green clay, 20 drops of rose essential oil and a teaspoon of aloe vera, yogurt, honey or water, as needed nutritional values of your skin.
When the mask is ready, apply it to your face, wait for it to dry, then remove it with lukewarm water and use your regular moisturizer.
