How To Have The Perfect Armband? Keeping the armbands fresh, clean and lint-free is usually sufficient for most people – at least until the season of tank tops, tank tops, and swimsuits comes. Then those dark, stubborn underarms suddenly become more noticeable. Pregnancy, age, hormones, genetics, razors, and the use of deodorant and antiperspirant are often the culprits, and your armpits may never be as perfect as a model’s. However, with a little more attention and care, you can safely bare your armpits.
Step 1
Wash your armpits frequently – at least once a day – to prevent the buildup of deodorants, antiperspirants, and body oils. Use a mild moisturizing cleanser to avoid irritating or drying your skin.
Step 2
Wear as loose clothing as possible. Continuous rubbing of the fabric against bare flesh can cause darkening of the skin. Cotton and other natural fibers are the best materials to wear as they allow the skin to breathe.
Step 3
Peel the underarms once a week to remove dead skin cells that cause darkening. Use a light commercial product formulated for sensitive skin or make your own gentle brush made of half sugar and half olive oil. Just before showering, gently spread the mixture on your skin and then rinse thoroughly.
Step 4
Before applying deodorant or antiperspirant, keep your armpits hair-free to allow skin to settle. When removing hair, make sure that the skin is not irritated.
Step 5
Change razor blades often – at least every four or five shaves. Dull blades irritate the skin and can cause ingrown hair.
