WHAT CAN BE DONE TO PREVENT HAIR FROM THE SEA AND POOL?

Hair care after the sea and pool significantly reduces the wear of the hair. However, in order to avoid problems such as drying of the hair, split ends or rash on the scalp, you need to spare time for your hair before the pool as well as after the pool. Here are the things to do about hair care before the pool and sea:

WEAR A HAIR BONNET

Make it a habit to use a swim cap while swimming. Using a cap that completely covers your hair is the most logical move you can do to protect your hair from sea salt and chemicals in the pool.

WET YOUR HAIR

If you do not want to wear a cap, you should wet your hair with tap water before entering the sea or pool. This process saturates the hair with water and allows the hair to absorb chemicals, sea salt less.

APPLY NATURAL OIL TO YOUR HAIR

Always apply protective oil to your hair before swimming in the pool or the sea. This process creates a protective layer on your scalp and does not chlorine the cuticles. Therefore, your hair is protected one more time. Apply the scent by massaging your scalp with any natural oil you love, such as orange oil, almond oil, lavender oil . Don’t forget to apply it to your hair ends as well.

USE HAIR PROTECTIVE SPRAY

Before entering the sea or pool, you can apply a protective cream to create a layer that will protect the hair from chemicals and salt. Preferably, you can choose a moisturizing spray that provides protection against UV rays. Thus, your hair will not be affected by the damage of the sun, sea and pool.

HOW TO MAKE HAIR CARE AFTER THE SEA AND POOL?

We have a few suggestions so that chlorinated water and sea water do not cause problems such as drying, breaking and dulling of the hair. What you need to do to minimize the wear of your hair after the sea and pool:

1) TAKE A SHOWER IMMEDIATELY AFTER OUT OF THE WATER

Although the minerals contained in sea water are good for dandruff and eczema problems, salt wears out the hair. Therefore, take a shower as soon as you get out of the sea or the pool. Cleanse your hair of accumulated chlorine and salt with shampoo. (You can choose special chloride-solving shampoos after you get out of the pool.)

2) STAY AWAY FROM THE SUN

After swimming in the sea, never be directly exposed to the sun at noon. The sun destroys the protein structure of the hair. If you are exposed to the sun, you can use sprays developed to protect from the sun.

3) MAKE MASKS ACCORDING TO YOUR HAIR NEEDS

With the effect of chemicals and salt, the hair becomes dull and loses its vitality. The scalp dries, the tip fractures increase. Blonde hair color may turn green by being affected by the chemical of the pool. After getting out of the water, a restorative care should be done that will bring the oil and moisture balance of the scalp back to normal. You can remove harmful chemicals from your hair with hair masks that will regain the minerals and protein lost by the hair.

If you apply olive oil or natural coconut oil from the roots to the ends and leave it for a few hours, your hair will become stronger and its shine will increase.

4) MASK TO SHINE HAIR

Mix the juice of 1 orange, 1 tablespoon of honey and a few drops of sandalwood oil. Use as a rinse after shampooing your hair.

5) MASK FOR DAMAGED HAIR

Mix a mashed banana with a few drops of almond oil and massage it into your hair. After waiting for 15-20 minutes, rinse with mineral water.  Then shampoo your hair and rinse. You can get a better result if you apply conditioner after shampooing.

6) MASK FOR DRY HAIR

Mix a tablespoon of honey with half a cup of whole milk and massage into the scalp. After waiting for 15-20 minutes, wash the hair with shampoo.

These masks can be applied twice a week during frequent swimming periods.

7) Consume MORE WATER

Finally, water consumption is as important for your hair as your external care. During the summer, we lose a lot of fluid through sweating. This causes dryness in the skin and hair. Water always moisturizes the body, hair and scalp. Consume 2-3 liters of water a day . In addition, include more proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fatty acids and vitamins A, E, C and B, which increase hair growth, in your diet. We recommend that you stay away from excessively oily and processed foods. The healthy foods you prefer will take care of your body from the inside, help maintain the health of your hair and prevent hair breakage.
