Homemade household products with baking soda

MINUTE SCOURING POWDER

Ingredients :

  • Baking soda

Preperation :

Sprinkle baking soda directly on the sink, hob, sink… Then rub with a sponge before rinsing.

WASHING-UP LIQUID

Ingredients :
  • 50 g of Marseille soap flakes
  • 1 liter of hot water
  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 30 to 40 drops of essential oil of your choice (lemon to bleach and deodorize, lavender for bed linen or towels, tea tree to disinfect, and just for the ylang-ylang, peppermint, grapefruit fragrance …)

Preperation :

Dissolve the Marseille soap in hot water. Add the baking soda. Leave to cool then pass in a blender. Optionally add the essential oil of your choice. Shake vigorously before use.

BATHROOM CLEANER

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid soap
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of tea tree, lemon or eucalyptus essential oil

Preperation :

Fill a spray bottle with all the ingredients, then shake before use.

MULTI-PURPOSE CLEANER

Ingredients :

  •  ¼ cup of Marseille soap flakes
  • 4 L of hot water
  • 4 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda

Preperation :

Dissolve the Marseille soap in hot water. Add the white vinegar and baking soda. Mix, let the effervescence pass then transfer to a bottle with a spray bottle.

This mixture can be used in all kinds of everyday things, but also in small makeover jobs. If you are embarking on the repair of the bathroom, it will be used to clean the tiles before applying a paint for tiles for example.

TOILET BOWL CLEANER

Ingredients :

  • ½ cup of baking soda
  • ¼ cup of white vinegar
  • A few drops of lemon, tea tree or pine essential oil
Preperation :

Mix the soda with the white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Pour into the toilet bowl, let the effervescence pass then rub with the brush.

This mixture cleans, descales, disinfects and perfumes.

CLAY STONE RECIPE

This multi-purpose cleaner recipe is a scouring paste that is used on enamel, stainless steel, plastic, glass and hobs, dishes… It is great for whitening the soles of sneakers. Avoid surfaces sensitive to abrasion such as wood, aluminum, and waxed surfaces.

To use it, rub a damp sponge on the stone, and then rub your surface to be cleaned before rinsing.

Ingredients :

  • 85 g of white or green clay
  • 60 g of liquid black soap
  • 60 g of baking soda
  • 35 drops of essential oil of your choice (lemon, eucalyptus)
  • 2 to 3 drops of water if necessary, to adjust the consistency
Preperation :

Mix all the ingredients to form a thick homogeneous paste. Pour into a pot and let dry (ideally in the sun) for 24 hours or more if necessary.
