Using a chocolate mask on the face keeps the skin radiant and youthful in a natural way. Cocoa is excellent for the skin and provides powerful antioxidant benefits that fight free radicals that cause premature aging. The flavonols in cocoa help improve skin texture and hydration. Plus, it contains minerals that promote cell growth and tissue repair. This mask also includes yogurt, oatmeal and honey. Yogurt has moisturizing properties that help the skin to rejuvenate and add an anti-aging glow. It also contains lactic acid that gently exfoliates the skin, tightens pores, reduces skin spots and protects the skin from sunlight.
Oatmeal is another amazing ingredient that enhances the skin and makes it soft and smooth and helps to clean the pores as it absorbs the excess oil from the skin and due to the saponins it acts as an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and acne-causing bacteria. In addition, it helps maintain the pH of the skin. The numerous benefits of honey for the skin make it an excellent choice in any skin care recipe, as it helps retain moisture and get glowing skin. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, soothing properties and protects the skin from acne breakouts.
